Rhodochrosite, Quartz – Cavnic (ROM)

Cavnic is considered one of the best places to find rhodochrosite in Europe. The mine, which has already been closed down, produced a number of good rhodochrosite with a beautiful pink color. One such piece is the one shown here. It is a fine rhodochrosite aggregate with a little quartz on the side. The condition is very good.
