Calcite – Tyrol (AUT)

Minerals like calcite are often affected by water, so specimens from near the surface frequently show etched faces. But not here: this item was found of the construction site for an underground water tunnel. Due to these circumstances there is only a very limited number recovered and the quality is much above average.
