Baryte, Quartz – Poehla mine (GER)

Honey-baryte from Poehla is one of the classic minerals from Germany. As mining in this area ended in 1991, no new material can be found. This specimen shows bi-terminated, partly gemmy crystals of golden barite on quartz-matrix. The item is crystallized on both sides and in very good condition, damagewise. The crystals are high lustrous and nearly all are perfect terminated. The specimen is free standing.
