This is a dramatic specimen of excellent developed topaz crystals with pseudomorph of hematite after garnet. This material is typical for Maynards mine as the topaz is pretty clear but a bit opaque from the clay like inclusions. But you easily can see the perfect quality of the topaz on the smaller crystals.
This item was part of the Dr. Barratt Phillips collection and is in excellent condition.
