An uncommon barium-rich manganese oxide usually seen as an accessory mineral or matrix, interesting specimens of romanèchite are rarely represented in collections. From a recent find in Királyszentistván, Veszprém, Hungary; first reported in Autumn 2020. Three dimensional black dendrites of romanèchite are accented by nubs of brown earthy goethite. The contrast of brown iron oxide on the black romanèchite give this material a special appearance, and many have branching shapes looking like trees.
