Quartz, Baryte – Oisans (FRA)
A highlight of alpine specimens are always crystals grown into quartz, especially if the quartz is transparent.
This is a combination of quartz ridge crystals with ingrown and outgrown barytes, a really rare paragenesis! The barytes in the quartz crystal are recognizable as sharp-edged crystals, outside they are already dissolved due to the influence of the weather.
