Pyrite – Rhomberg (AUT)

Wow, what a huge pyrite-nodule! This large aggregate is 4 x 3,5 x 3,5 cm and shows a very high luster. As I mentioned at the description of another specimen: there seems to be a connection between the size and the geometry of the pyrite from the quarry. Larger spheres are less symmetrical than smaller ones. In my mind this is one of the most attractive specimens and it’s free of damage.
