Garnet, Hedenbergite – Hormozgan (IR)

About 1-2 years ago, a new site for excellent garnets was discovered in Iran. This is characterized by rather dark garnets in combination with hedenbergite, a rather rare paragenesis. The crystals on this piece are highly lustrous and contrast well with the matt matrix. The find does not seem to have been too large, there is hardly any new material.
