The Meggen mine was already in operation in the 17th century and was closed down in 1992. It is a classic locality, with specimens that are at least 30 years old. This piece is a 3.5 cm main crystal with several smaller galena crystals. Next to it are smaller calcite crystals, which provide a beautiful contrast. The piece is crystallized on almost all sides.
