Aragonite on nail – Styrian Erzberg (AT)

I came across a specimen you can't see every day; in fact it's a rarity. A younger collector sold the grandfathers mineral collection, this specimen was part of. It's a metallic nail from the old mines inside the Erzberg Mountain in Styria, Austria. Such items were found rarely, this one is almost overgrown by aragonite! It’s a totally crazy item, half artificial half natural.

It is 14 cm long, I've seen a few of these only, and this is the best one for sure.
