Australia isn’t known for amethyst by now. But recently locals found fine amethyst crystals on or near an old amethyst spot in Western Australia. This location was active during the 1960s. But it seems like it is productive again. This is a nice sample of intensive colored amethyst on matrix. The quality is fine; especially the main crystal is undamaged. Also, the specimen is looking great with some backlight.
